Our History
Based in the New Guinea Islands region of Papua New Guinea since 1979, the company's core business at inception was sustainable logging and eventually downstream processing, sawmilling, plantation development and road construction works, which saw the eventual establishment of sister company Vudal Timbers Ltd to carry out the diversified operations.
Following the Rabaul twin volcanic eruptions in 1994, we made a strategic decision to focus our business on civil construction work and plant hire, as we perceived a reconstruction program would likely be set in place to facilitate rehabilitation of destroyed infrastructure in the East New Britain Province.
The reconstruction phase facilitated by the Gazelle Restoration Authority, set up by an act of Parliament in 1994 saw us become one of the pioneer companies involved in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of major infrastructure throughout the provinces three districts. The restoration program sets the pace in quality of workmanship, implementation methods and transparency, gaining the reputation of being the most successful aid program administered in the South Pacific region.
Many years on, we have gained a solid reputation for integrity, competence and reliabilty in the performance of all our contracts awarded by Government agencies like the; Gazelle Restoration Authority, AusAid, World Bank, East New Britain, New Ireland and Southern Highlands Provincial Administration and Department of Works.
